Penang Trip

The penang trip was fun but alot training stuff to remb..

We took SQ plane to Penang, ard 1 hr trip there. Was quite cool to sit plane to another country on lst day of training.. Though there was mixed feelings abt whether I could adjust to working life.. Glad to be able to share room with Fanny, was quite fun to be her roommate for the 5days at Penang..

We went to a few places in Penang.

Mon : Gurney Plaza as we stayed at Evergreen hotel, which was a 15 min walk to the plaza.

We ate at the food court, the food was not bad.. but to our despair, actually within 5min walk was a food ctr with cheaper px. ( But according to the shuttle bus uncle, food was better in the city rather than small fd ctr as serving was smaller, not very worth it)

Tue : Went to batu Ferrengi on taxi, Nite mkt.. Boyz it was a scary ride, the taxi drivers are all very skillful, imagine having to pass a taxi in the same lane.. WOO i was having a roller coaster ride.. Lucky had Grace and fanny with me in the taxi, I was talking to them to distract myself.. The nite mkt was quite gd, food was fantastic, tried the yang zhou fried rice, fried kwan tiao, (the chicken wing was super nice, hehe honey blazed, i like, yummy..), the omelete oyster was different from the one in spore... more watery, but it tasted super nice... lucky could share w my jie mei (jianyi, fanny, hui yin, kailing n shi ying) if not definitely put on alot weight..

Hhee come to think of it.. the buffet breakfast n lunch we had at evergreen hotel was superb, hehe i ate alot cakes (cheeze cake was superb), yogurt (those sour type, must add ur own topping), pan fried fish, mee goreng,.....

Wed: went to fd ctr next to gurney plaza as we had to do a ppt on thur. attached is my group pic, think is a wonderful gp.. i liked the model EY person alot, hehe drawn by talented jianyi and hui yin.... the four fruit soup was very cooling, sth like our qing teng, hehe my fave. But we had to rush back hotel to discuss our skit for thur

thur and fri : Yeah end of training. Went to Pranggin Mall on both days.. hehe tried the japanese ramen there, not bad la except for the cockroach shock( there were 2 small cock roach on the wooden divider, one of them got onto fanny's mango pudding and we had to get the waiter to remove it, lucky he was quite brave and nice to grab the pudding and remove it elsewhere and to give fanny a compilmentary pudding)

Secret recipe we had a better experience.. hehe i like the mud pie and the marble cheeze cake, super nice and big slice... hehe the mushroom sauce chicken was nice too. Shopping wise was quite gd tho i oni manage to get 2 office tops, din see anything else tt catch my fancy. wanted to get shoe but not really nice or it was open toe ( my co allow us wear covered shoe oni), saw a super nice shoe but the heel abit high for me...

hehe in general, i had a fun trip, learning and studying at the same time..

Back to spore for more training till 31aug..
